I was reading about Zacchaeus one morning and just needed to share the revelation I got from it, even after reading this passage many times over the years.  
Zacchaeus (a.k.a. "Z") was so excited about seeing Jesus, he climbed a tree to get a better view.  Jesus calls him out by name and invites himself over to Z's house for dinner.  Z is pumped about this.

Sometimes we look at prayer as a way of getting things from God. We ask for prayer as though the more people praying will sway him, like he’s a judge on American idol and the person with the most prayers gets the victory, healing, whatever.
You’ll hear things like, “Well, I prayed and that didn’t work.” Or “ let’s spread the word and get as many prayers as possible so we can see God move.”

In Luke 8, we read about the time Jesus and his disciples were heading across a lake. Then a raging storm comes, the disciples freak out, and Jesus brings peace to the waters. Sounds a bit like a page out of most of our lives!

Samson had a call on his life. God gave Samson supernatural strength as long as his hair was never cut.
Unfortunately, Samson’s pride, ego, or Delilah’s incessant nagging caused him to give up the secret to his strength. As a result he became powerless until the day he repented and asked God for one more chance. (Read Judges Chapters 13-16)
God has also given YOU natural and supernatural abilities. In this episode, I ask you a few questions to help you identify your God-given gifts, and to discover what things could leave you powerless.

In this episode, I thought I'd encourage you with a little bit of my personal testimony. Some things I experienced left me feeling like I had no value, and because of that, I ended up making some less than stellar choices.  But, God showed up and taught me how to have a voice that I didn't have when I was younger.
Now, it's my mission to encourage and inspire others not to  live in a place of contempt for themselves.  I hope this helps set you free.

A couple weeks ago, a man in Massachusetts was swallowed by a whale.
It reminds me of the story of Jonah. God told him to do some thing, so instead of doing that, he went in the other direction and caused all kinds of issues in other people’s lives. When he was finally obedient, he was angry at God for being good and forgiving.

In this episode, I’ll share about how our home renovations mirror our internal renovations. Plus, I’ll share a dirty looking secret that most guests at my house would never know about. (I’ll post a pic on my Facebook Page later)
It reminds me of how people that don’t know us well see all of the awesome things about us. People close to us see more of the “real” us, the good, the bad, and ugly. But, sometimes, what we see in ourselves it’s just the ugly because we are the closest to us.

Before you became a Christian, God loved you.  After you became a Christian, God loved you.  His love for you never changes.  In this episode, we're going to eliminate the idea that you are a second-rate Christian. You are always a first-class citizen, yup, even though you aren't perfect.
